LET’S FACE IT

Sometimes life can feel like a never-ending dumpster fire. Whether you’re struggling with:

  • Dealing with sleep-deprived nights worrying about everything and nothing?

Is depression feeling like a heavy, suffocating weight on your chest, making it hard to breathe and even harder to find joy?

Feeling like your mood and emotions are in the driver’s seat and you’re stuck being a passenger in your own life?

Are you experiencing physical symptoms like headaches, muscle tension, or stomach issues without a clear medical cause?

  • Ever feel like your brain’s on 24/7 baby-watch? Like, you can't stop fretting over every little cough, sneeze, or hiccup. You’re so on edge that even when the baby's asleep, you’re wide awake, checking if they’re breathing?

Are you struggling with guilt because you're not feeling the overwhelming joy that everyone expects from new moms, wondering why you're not on a constant emotional high?

Ever find yourself just going through the motions, feeling like you're on autopilot? It's like you're there, but not really 'there.' You might even feel a bit numb, like you're watching your life from the sidelines.

Have you noticed yourself getting unusually irritated or angry over small, everyday things that never used to bother you before?

  • Are you struggling to find time for self-care amid the endless demands of motherhood?

Do you ever feel like you're on the verge of burnout, carrying the invisible load of emotional labor, constantly planning, remembering and organizing every little detail of family life?

Find yourself drowning in mom guilt for not measuring up to the "perfect" mom standards?

Do you feel like you've lost a sense of who you are beyond being a mom, wondering what happened to your other interests and passions?

  • Do you find yourself reliving past traumatic events, with memories or flashbacks that come uninvited and feel intensely real?

Do you often feel emotionally numb or detached from others, as if you're living behind a glass wall, disconnected from life and the people around you?

Have you found it increasingly difficult to trust people, always on guard and fearing that others might betray or hurt you?

Are you living with constant anxiety or fear, feeling like danger is always around the corner, even in safe environments?

Do you experience sudden irritability or angry outbursts, feeling like your emotions are a ticking time bomb?

Do you find it hard to enjoy the present, feeling like the trauma has overshadowed your ability to experience joy or happiness?

  • Riding the rollercoaster of infertility, marked by a cycle of hope and heartbreak, the overwhelm and anxiety that accompanies fertility treatments, and the constant barrage of 'any news?' from well-meaning but clueless friends?

Do you feel like you’ve lost control over your life and body, with infertility dictating what you can and cannot do?

Are you experiencing feelings of guilt or shame, feeling like you’re somehow at fault or failing in some way?

Has dealing with infertility put a strain on your relationship, creating tension and stress between you and your partner?

Are you plagued by worries about the future, especially regarding your dream of having a child or starting a family?

  • Do you feel isolated in your grief, as if others can't truly understand what you're going through or expect you to move on too quickly?

Have you noticed changes in your relationships, especially with your partner, as you both navigate this loss in potentially different ways?

Are you haunted by thoughts of what you could have done differently, or do you find yourself unfairly blaming yourself for the loss?

If you’re considering trying again, are you filled with anxiety about future pregnancies, worried that you might experience another loss?

Has your loss impacted your ability to engage in daily activities and routines, finding that even simple tasks now require enormous effort?

  • Are you feeling overwhelmed or uncertain about your future as you enter or graduate from college, wondering what's next in your career or personal life?

Are you struggling with the changes that come with getting married or committing to a long-term relationship, questioning your identity or independence?

Coping with the emotional whirlwind of becoming a first-time mom and adjusting to parenthood?

Reestablishing your identity and purpose after a major breakup or divorce?

If you’re in a caretaker role for aging parents, do you feel overwhelmed by the responsibilities and emotional toll, possibly at the expense of your own needs and well-being?

As your children leave home, are you struggling with feelings of loss, loneliness, or confusion about what to do with this new phase of your life?

Are you navigating the emotional and life changes that come with the loss of a loved one, finding it difficult to adjust to life without them?

  • Are you facing challenges in effectively communicating with your partner, feeling like you're not being heard or understood?

If you’ve experienced infidelity in your relationship, are you struggling with feelings of betrayal, trust issues, and uncertainty about the future?

Are you and your partner clashing over differences in life goals, values, or directions, making you question the future of your relationship?

Are you experiencing challenges in maintaining intimacy, whether emotional or physical, feeling disconnected or unfulfilled in your relationship?

If you have children, do you find yourself frequently at odds with your partner over parenting styles or decisions, affecting your relationship dynamics?

Frequently Asked Questions

  • It looks a lot like in-person therapy, except you can do it in your pajamas while laying in bed with a snoozing newborn, or in your office on your lunch break. The accessibility is unbeatable, which is why we love it so much.

As for the logistical details: 48 hours prior to our session, you’ll receive a link that you will use to sign on to our session. You can access the telehealth platform we use for sessions via a web browser, or you can download an app on your phone. Yep, it really is that easy.

  • Virtual therapy has been shown to be just as effective as in-person therapy for many individuals. Numerous studies have highlighted the benefits of virtual sessions, such as increased accessibility, convenience, and comfort.

Virtual therapy is redefining therapeutic support with the understanding that women and moms live in a world where adaptability, convenience, and understanding are not just appreciated but required. And hey, if you can get your mental health in tip-top shape without having to change out of your yoga pants, that’s a win in our book.

  • Yes, we're excited to announce that we will soon be offering in-person therapy! Our new space is opening in southern Livingston County, Michigan (Hamburg Township), specifically designed with a focus on women's mental health. Additionally, we are expanding our services to include care for children and adolescents. This expansion aligns with our original focus on women's and maternal mental health, as we recognize the interconnectedness of family dynamics in women's mental well-being. By providing comprehensive care for both women and their families, we aim to support and nurture the entire family unit, enhancing overall mental health and resilience.

If you’re in the area and want to be the first to hear when our space is open, please send an email to getstarted@hivewellnessco.com and we will keep you in the loop!

  • Here at Hive, we believe that a good therapist is like a GPS for your life goals. They can’t drive the car for you, but they sure can help you get to your destination.

Our therapists will not give you a generic roadmap. Based on your goals, they will carve out a therapeutic journey that caters to your unique needs, ensuring each session moves you closer to your desired destination.

  • Short answer: If you're a human navigating the complexities of today's hot mess of a world, therapy will help you.

Long(er) answer: Therapy can help everyone. It's not just for those 'I can't get out of bed' days (although it’s great for those!) It's also for those 'Why do I keep doing this?' moments. It's about growing as a person, managing your emotional rollercoaster like a pro, and actually enjoying life a bit more. And let's be real, who wouldn't want that?

  • We do! We are in-network with Aetna, ASR, BCBS, Blue Care Network, Cofinity, HAP, Physician’s Health Plan (PHP) and Priority Health. If you have a different provider and out-of-network benefits, we are happy to provide Superbills. If you have any questions about how that works, please let us know!

Our self-pay rates vary by clinician experience level and range from $125-$175 per 50-55 minute session.

  • When using insurance for therapy services, it's important to understand that your out-of-pocket costs—such as deductibles, co-pays, and co-insurance—can vary based on your specific insurance policy. To ensure clarity and avoid surprises, we recommend taking a proactive approach to understanding your financial responsibilities.

    Steps to Take:

Identify Your Policy Details: Your insurance card is a valuable resource. Look for the customer service number, usually found on the back of the card.

Inquire About CPT Codes: When you call your insurance provider, ask about coverage for the following Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) Codes:

90791: This code is used for your initial intake session.

90837: For sessions that are 53 minutes or longer.

90834: For sessions that are less than 53 minutes.

    90847: For family sessions.

Confirm Your Coverage: Specifically, inquire about your deductible (and how much you have met for the year so far), co-pay, and co-insurance for the mentioned CPT codes. If asked for an NPI, you can provide the following: 1730813239 (if you need a clinician-specific NPI, please ask us!) These details will help determine your out-of-pocket costs for therapy.

life’s tough, but so are you.

And with the right support, you can do more than just survive; you can thrive. You ready?
